We were invited to Nerdcon by Hank and John Green where we did a 90 minute show in front of our largest audience ever! We played Get It Wrong To Win, Safety First, and Bards Dispense Profanity with New York Times best-selling author Maureen Johnson and Craig Benzine (Wheezy Waiter). It was such a fun show. And it turns out Aaron isn't the only one with a weird childhood, Maureen told us multiple stories of her experiences on the bus as a child. And yeah, they were not normal experiences...
We pranced right over the boundary of good taste with Over The Line the mega-sassy party game, a hilarious party game that is a combination of Charades and Pictionary based upon race, religion, sex, and bodily fluids. Then we created a weird fucked up life for a character and lived out that character's life. Stacey Garbarski and Karen Moeller joined us for this night of revelry.
A jam packed night of fun. We'll tell outrageous (and very likely horrifying) stories in the game True Stories. Then we'll take another crack at trying to be safe as children with Safety First. And finally we're playing Surplus of Popes to exorcise the little demons out of our souls. With John Lee and Dylan Brogan.
We started off the year with some technologically advanced gaming featuring Beasts of Balance, a game in which you stack electronic pieces according to what your ipad tells you, except it didn't work... We played Klask, a fun game where you play hockey with a marble. We still had time left in the first half so we played CAH 6th expansion! Then Wisecrack, a truly enjoyable question answering game you play totally via your phone. And finally Truck Off: The Food Truck Frenzy a clever game of betting on your food truck! Joining us will be actual food truck owner Hot David and Brett Hermanson.
It was that time of year again. Yes the holidays, but I was talking about that time of year that Paul Guse comes on the show and we all get shitfaced and Dylan goes nuts. Speaking of shit, we played a game called Who Shit In My Cat? Also played the brilliant Mr. Lister's Quiz Shootout, it's like an old-style Western shootout but with brains for guns.
